Abstract

The ingestion of foreign bodies (FBI) is a prevalent issue, mainly among paediatric populations(8). In adults, this situation is normally seen in psychiatric patients, people with developmental delays, alcohol use disorders, and prisoners. Instances concerning complex overseas bodies, consisting of cell phones, are uncommon and is a feature that has not been continually addressed within the scientific literature. As of 2024, handiest five such cases were documented. This document discusses a unprecedented instance of cell phone ingestion that was efficiently managed through surgical intervention.

Keywords: Intentional ingestion, mobile phone ingestion, esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), foreign body retrieval, foreign body ingestion
